Malta Individual Investor Program

Required investment amount: From €880,000. 

Description: The Malta Individual Investor Programme allows foreign nationals to obtain a Maltese passport in return for an investment comprised of a €650,000 donation to the National Development and Social Fund, a €150,000 investment in authorized stocks, government bonds and other securities traded at the Malta Stock Exchange, a property lease with an annual rent of at least €16,000, or acquisition of a home in a minimum value of U.S. $350,000. A valid international insurance policy is also required. The property and securities shall be retained by the applicant for at least five years.

Benefits: Partial return of investment, a dual citizenship opportunity, visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 182 countries and territories, including the EU, the USA, and Canada, as well as all the rights of a Maltese passport.

Time allowed outside the country: The applicant shall reside in Malta for a minimum period of 12 months from the date of application.
