Montenegro introduces bill to attract digital nomads, freelance workers

A Bill on Amendments to the Law on Foreigners has been submitted to the Montenegrin Parliament, aimed at drawing digital nomads to the country.

Digital nomads will be eligible for obtaining a long-term visa (Visa D) and for obtaining a two-year residence permit in Montenegro. The bill also provides a definition of a digital nomad, clarifies conditions for retaining the status, and establishes temporary residency requirements for this category of applicants.
