Quèbec Immigrant Investor Programme

Required investment amount: C$1.2 million (around €824,000).

Description: The QIIP was developed for foreign investors who have a minimum of two years’ management experience in a company over the previous five years and who have net assets of at least C$2 million (around €1.37 million). Investors commit to investing C$1,2 million with an authorized financial intermediary. The investment can be returned in five years. Applicants must intend to settle in Québec.

Benefits: Return of investment and the opportunity to live and study anywhere in Canada. The applicant’s spouse and dependent children are entitled to permanent residence permits as well. The investor may ultimately gain citizenship through the investor visa.

Time allowed outside the country: To maintain permanent residence status, the applicant must reside in Canada for at least two years within a five-year period. The applicant must have been physically present in Canada for not less than 1,095 days during the five years immediately preceding the date of application for citizenship.
